Excellent Training Tool

Excellent construction and craftsmanship. This vest is built like a tank and I know it will last for years. I like it so much I have already purchased another for my training partner. Given the weight carrying capably of this vest it is still very comfortable to wear for extended periods of time fully loaded. (75lbs) I have the wider shoulder supports which make heavy weight for long distance ideal. For lighter weight and overhead exercise I would recommend the narrower shoulder support option. For my needs this vest is perfect and a I couldn't be happier with the product.
A must have!!!

A bit about me: 6', 210lbs, 42 y/o, background in Olympic and Power lifting and contact sports but for the last 10 years I'm mostly on the mountain and cyclocross bikes with a fighting weight of 185lbs. Purchased vest thinking it was a to build core/hip strength while hiking with the dog and shedding some weight this winter.
Firstly, I can't believe how much i enjoy using the vest; typically 3-4d/week on semi-technical hikes with the dog (45-90 min, 600-1300ft of climbing). It's made old trails new again. Vest is like everybody says: materials and connections are top-notch and seemingly built to last a lifetime. The parts that would seem to most susceptible to wear/breakage are the straps (or more specifically, the plastic buckles) but WV sells new straps at a reasonable price so no worries there.
The 4" shoulders in the long version are great - only soreness is from getting used to the weight - absolutely no issues with the material, geometry or seams. I've got the added sweat-pad which adds a bit of padding (I can't imagine why one wouldn't buy the sweat-pad as the default configuration - you'll be soaked after an hour in this thing).
In addition to the sweat pad, I have two strong recommendations: Buy the water pouch and buy a vest capable of 50% more weight than you think you'll use. When loaded up, you want your hands free on the trail, not holding a water bottle - and even in mild temps, you can really work up a thirst in this thing (and empty weight pockets make for handy phone/Power bar storage). Second, I was very surprised at how quickly I'm adapting to the weight. I figured 75lbs for an old guy like me was plenty but I was fully loaded in a week, and within two weeks I was draping another brand's 20lb vest over the top of my vest to bring total to 95#. Getting the gear to go up to 125-150# is on the xmas list. Seriously - get a lot more weight than you think you'll need; it's like buying Oly bumpers or a TV; nobody ever regretted getting more plates or a bigger TV but how many people regret going too small?
The hardest part of using the vest is getting it all off after you've smoked yourself - more than once it's hit the bed of the truck like a pile of bricks but it still looks brand-new.
For improvements - my only real gripe, and it's a small one, is that there ought to be some sort of small pocket somewhere on the vest... for a cell phone or power bar. I can understand not having one if you're just wandering around your local gym/box in it - but if you're going to use it anywhere else, a detachable pocket or two would be nice. Initially, I was using one weight pocket for storage which worked okay, but now that the vest is maxed for weight, I often carry a phone in my hand (my cherished Ranger panties don't have pockets).
I really, really love this product - it's terrific and addicting. Stoked it's made in the US. Highly recommend all-around. The only issue I've run into operationally is that on more than one occasion when I'm on the trail and carrying in my hand the hand-held transmitter for my dog's hunting collar, more than one person has told me I looked like a suicide bomber.
To summarize: Get one, get the sweat pad, get the water pouch, and get (a lot) more weight than you think you'll need. You will love this thing.

Great product, by far surpassed my expectations. It's great to know that products of such high quality are still being made in USA.
Highly recommend this product.

As a female I was unsure which vest would be best for me. After talking to customer service they suggested this one vs the style for women. I am extremely happy that I listened to them. I have a larger chest and the female version is designed better for the smaller chest. (5'6" 34DD)
I am training to become a fire fighter and this will definitely assist me in making my goals. I found this vest to be very comfortable considering that you are adding 75 lbs to your body. I've only used it once so far but I am excited to keep using it for my stair climbs and hiking/running. This vest is perfect to start off light and is easy to put on and secure tightly to your body.
Excellent equipment for serious training.

This vest blew me away, from my initial reaction to the quality of construction, to the extremely comfortable fit when I put it on. I decided on the narrow shoulder version since I am medium framed even though walking is my main objective. Customer service was of great help with that decision and I encourage you to discuss your body type with them before you order. I find the vest hangs from my traps perfectly, and the strap placement keeps the weight tight and balanced against the body. An interesting aspect I discovered was that the long 75 was more comfortable than the short 50 I had been training with. When walking is your main objective, GO LONG. I'll close by saying that this is a perfect example of why "made in the USA" still means "great quality." P.S: The typhon pattern is excellent.
A Solid Performer

I received my weight vest several weeks ago and use it for weighted walks mainly. I cannot say enough about the quality of this vest - rock solid materials, fit and performance. This is my second weight vest from WeightVest.com. I purchased the 75lb wide shoulder version this time around and am very happy with the fit/comfort level.
Prior, I had a 45lb vest that I used for about 9 months. I lost 60lbs in the time I used the first vest. I wore it 2-3 times a week and it still looks new. Awesome products!

I freaking love this vest and let me tell y'all I have owened a few other brands before. None of them work as well as the v-force vest. I utilized my vest in training to be a better firefighter and to get in amazing shape for the military. I will do long distance hiking, push-ups, squats and yes I do run/sprint in it. Great vest that stays put even when I move... I would absolutely recommend it.
75 Pound 4" Shoulders Long Vest

Fantastic vest! Solid build! Use it for walking. Still at 50 pounds but it gets uncomfortable 2-3 miles into the walk you wish the padding at the shoulders was better (I have the 4" shoulder width). I can't imagine what it will feel like when I get to the full 75 pounds. Highly recommend though. Very effective for adding difficulty to your exercise.
# 1 weightvest in the market!

I highly recommend to anyone your products because it's worth it. Anyone that read this "go buy your weightvest now! Weightvest.com are the best!
Start small and light, work your way up!

This vest is a beast, wore it at work and found that this thing really makes things heat up, I garnered heat rash because I wasn't careful!
Would love to be able to wear this for 8 hours at a time, but since I can't I'll need to look into using some capillary action to keep the vest dry.
Speaking of the vest, this thing feels solid and like it'll last me for a long time. I love how thin it is compared to the other vests I've looked at and how strong it is as well. I hate bags of sand for anything. Uselss, quick to break, and hard to 'repair.'
well built, great fit

That says it all. The overall construction is top notch. The vest fit overall allows for great range of motion while still being able to run.

Seldom do you feel that you got your moneys worth. I have purchased three vests from weightvest.com
I kept getting stronger using the vest so I needed to upgrade to more weight. Each vest purchased was of the highest quality. You cannot go wrong choosing one or more of these vests. Money well spent.

This was my first weight vest purchase and I wanted to go with the best. I was not disappointed. I've worn it 4 times now walking over mixed terrain and it has performed absolutely as advertised. Can't recommend it enough.
