  2. Great Weight Vest! Love it!

Posted by John on 3rd Sep 2018

I bought the 40lbs vest with the narrow straps. I've used it weekly with 10 lbs al the way to 40lbs. I've done the 'MURPH' workout with 20lbs in it and it worked great during the workout, and during the run. It doesn't bounce when running, and feels fine on the shoulders.

I bought it for the purpose I can use it for the 'MURPH' with 20lbs, and also go for hikes with 40lbs. Comfortable no matter what weight I have in there. The cast iron weights are easy to put in/ take out.

  3. Excellent for HIIT when deployed

Posted by Unknown on 15th Aug 2018

This product is excellent to do a quick workout whenever you're busy with duty while on deployment. Quick 20min HIIT session will hit you hard, good to help build up endurance for PRT for those struggling with running. Let a friend use my vest and now his mile run went from 13min down to sub 8min.

No need for a second person to help secure and release. In addition it looks really good, expect alot of compliments. It looks like it will last me a very long time.

  8. 40 lb V-Force Short Vest

Posted by Unknown on 11th Jun 2018

I ordered the vest just before Memorial Day and included a note that I was hoping to receive it in time for a Murph workout that day. I received a message back a few days later that they priority shipped it to ensure it would make it - no additional charge! It arrived two days prior to the workout, so my first workout was Murph (at 20 pounds). I love the feel, workmanship, and color (universal cam). I have used it several times since, sometimes taking it on and off within a workout. Works like a charm. My son has also used it. We have to adjust the belt for that to happen, but it is fairly simple. No regrets on making this purchase. Think this will last a lifetime!

  9. Awesome, money well spent

Posted by Rob on 28th May 2018

I’d never thought I would spend 100$+ on a weight vest but here I am, I did a lot of research to find the best one and always seemed to comeback to this place, super satisfied and I use it regularly when I go hike and when I workout, highly recommend this specific vest and the others as well as I’m sure they are notch as well

  10. Best Weight Vest. Period.

Posted by Stephen on 22nd May 2018

Honestly, I never review things, but this item deserves it. Sure, you pay a few extra bucks for this as opposed to some of the other leading brands, but you get what you pay for, and then some. Comfortable, durable, and doesn't get in the way with whatever workout you're doing (I crossfit, and double unders and handstand push-ups were no problem while wearing this vest). Highly recommended.

  11. Exceeding Expectations

Posted by Zach on 17th May 2018

I was a little skeptical to how well the product would work. The vest is easy to adjust while working out and fit perfectly. I do crossfit type workouts 3-4 days a week and incorporate it into my workouts. I have seen benefit from using the vest during my workouts. I am a bigger guy and it really adds challenge to the workout

  12. You Get What You Pay For!

    Highest Quality. Comfortable. Functional.
    Very pleased with my purchase!

  13. Gret quality product overall, just a few tips

Posted by Mark on 7th May 2018

Im someone who trains everyday by running, lifting, cardio, crossfit; I try to keep my workouts diverse to never get board. I dont train with the weight vest all of the time but when i do it is usually for running and calestenics. The overall quality of the product, durability, texture and make of it is great. Personally, the idea of being able to take out the weights is great, I train the Murph so I only need 20 pounds instead of 40 pounds. I think you guys should consider using 4 slabs of weight instead of 12 individual small weights, for the main purpose of trying to avoid the vest bouncing while running. with the smaller number of weights it may make the vest more stable and comact to the chest. additionally, i feel the extra staps that come with the vest are useless, and may be a waste of money for you guys as the velcrow is more than enough to hold the vest in place. Great product though

  14. Great First Choice.

Posted by Evan Sumners on 30th Apr 2018

My first weight vest. Weight is easily changed out, nice increment. The quick setup buckle/velcro system definitely help when transitioning to runs and sprint work. With the add chest pad for running i get very little bouncing when doing burpees or other calisthenics.

Excellent quality, design, and fit. I switched from strictly weight training to functional/weight training and this vest is my #1 tool. The fit is very comfortable, and it is built to last!

  16. #1 Weight Vest on the Market

Posted by Garrett Tande on 20th Apr 2018

This Vest is perfect for any training. First day I ran 5 miles w/40#, second day I completed a cross fit workout the involved a lot of overhead movement (pull-ups + snatches) ... the vest was very comfortable, didn't bounce, didn't restrict my breathing (very much), and didn't cause sore ribs or sides. The weights are added and removed with ease. I am extremely pleased with the purchase of this vest. The lifetime guarantee made it a simple purchase. This vest can take your performance to the next level!!!

  17. Well-built, comfortable, and functional - but heavy.

Posted by Chris on 16th Apr 2018

I was looking to add something to my workouts for occasional variety and increased intensity. A weight vest was suggested by a friend, who happens to be a former SEAL, so I paid attention to his recommendations. The weight vest he uses he's had for 10+ years, and he'd gotten it from weightvest.com. So I went the same direction.

I've had the vest for a few weeks now, and I've used it during hikes through canyons, on elliptical machines, on stair machines, while climbing actual stairs, and while climbing on a Jacob's Ladder. So far I've been loading it with 20 pounds. My shortest workout with the vest has been 30 minutes. My longest was a 4.5-hour hike without removing the vest. Based on this usage, and based on my experience as a licensed parachute rigger (heavy sewing experience), I can say this:

The vest is well made. The materials, sewing, and small design decisions have resulted in a well-built product that I'm confident will withstand a lot of use with some basic care and maintenance. If you keep your vest for years, and are faced with having to replace some of the loop velcro, which wears faster than the hook velcro, you'll find the loop velcro was sewn into the easier-to-maintain parts of the vest, such that doing this maintenance will be pretty easy for someone to do on their own. Other than that, clean it once in a while, keep it out of the sun when you're not using it, and don't toss it to the ground, and it'll last a long while.

For something that's designed to carry heavy weights on the body as comfortably as possible, it does so pretty well. There's just enough padding in just the right places to prevent any direct pressure or impact from the weights, and the total load is as well distributed as possible. The strap system has more than adequate adjustment range for most body types. And the load carries pretty securely without having to cinch it down until it prevents breathing. On my 4.5-hour hike, I had only the mildest soreness in my shoulders, and that was a simple result of the load, not pressure points.

The functionality shines through in the ease of adjusting the fit, the ease of changing the weight load, and the ability to easily install attachments. Weightvest.com makes a water bladder attachment, but if you're a handy sort of person, you could easily make your own and it would attach to the vest lickety-split. You can easily attach small pouches for carrying along essentials, and there's enough open velcro on this sucker that you can take an "Infidel" patch along for the ride if you feel so inclined, which I did.

My only complaint is that this thing is heavy. It weighs up to 40 pounds and makes most of my exercises a lot more soul-crushing.

  18. it is as advertised

it is good, haven't used as much as would have liked but, it is slick so far, heavy duty, bought the hanger as well--it is necessity, at least for me

  24. Best weighted vest money can buy right now

Posted by David on 16th Dec 2017

If you've been exercising for a while now and you're at more of an intermediate/advanced level of fitness, I highly recommend getting a weighted vest to take your strength and endurance to the next level. There are a lot of varieties of weighted vests on the market today, but this my friends is the best of the best. Yeah it's more expensive, but you get what you pay for. The padding is super strong, the Velcro is too. Easily adjustable to fit and it doesn't slide around hardly stand all. And whether you wear a shirt or not, it's still comfortable enough to exercise in without being distracted by something scratched or irritating your skin. If you've already made the decision to get a weighted vest but are still searching the market, look no further because this is the one you want.

  25. Awesome! Spendy but worth the $

    Posted by MtnMike714 on 13th Dec 2017

Durable, comfortable, modifiable, and looks awesome. I got this to wear while doing stair workouts to prep for Elk season. The full 40# is comfortable if you are walking, hiking, or doing pull up/push ups etc. I have found that to run with it, it is best used in the 20#. I take the weights out of the top portion and only keep the weights in that are closest to the chest strap. This mitigates bouncing when I am running. When I am hiking or going up stairs (walking) the 40# is very manageable.
