Best of the best

I compared this vest against all its competitors, and definitely chose right. I got this for CrossFit m, and have completed Murph with it on and many other WODs. You do need help
The first time to get the straps setup, but once they’re on you’re set.

Everything about this vest is excellent...however, being a smaller framed guy and wanting a good range of motion I opted for the smaller width shoulder straps. If I could change one thing it would be to have the wider straps. No fault of the vest,, but I find 40lbs on the thinner straps isn’t worth the range of motion gains. Depending on the exercise and duration of time wearing the vest it can really start to cut in over the shoulders. Other than that, the fit and function and even the quality is outstanding. Sizing it doesn’t take long either and everything tucks away neatly with no buckles or straps hanging off.

This weightvest is comfortable, sturdy, and incredibly easy to maneuver in. On top of all that you look like a total savage wearing it. So glad I got this thing. It’s an amazing tool in my fitness arsenal. Highly recommended
Most motivational purchase ever!

I did my first workout with the 40lb in. I maxed out and removed 20 lbs. Started my workout over again. Maxed out and removed the vest. I was able to do an entire 3rd round of exercises! The best workout I've ever done in over 20 years!!!!
Top quality fabric and materials. So far I don't see this thing falling apart for years and years to come.
One critique as there is always at least one......the cleaning process is easy but I can see the smell issue arising if you skip a few cleanings or just sweat really heavy with lots of use. No getting around good hard nasty sweaty work.......

I've been using this vest for a few weeks now and I'm thrilled with it. I honestly don't know anything you could do to make it better. It fits as snug as you want but very comfortable and the weight distribution feels great. The materials definitely seem military grade. I'm a climber so I needed something I could reach with for pull-ups and rock climbing and this vest works perfectly. There's no restriction in my movement at all. Everything stays tight and the weight stays close to your body. I also use it for one-legged balancing exercises and no matter what position you put yourself in this vest doesn't move. It stays locked on tight. I couldn't come up with a single improvement if you paid me to. It's just really well designed.
1.5 years later--still the best

I've had this weight vest for 16 months now. I've used other vests that work ok, but I actually LIKE wearing this one. It feels snug, even when I'm jumping rope and doing burpees. If I only have weights in top row back, I can still do sit ups and use the squat machine. The vest doesn't hinder pull-ups or many of the stretches I do. It's durable, showing no wear, just as sturdy as when I bought it. I highly recommend this product--and the super hanger. I also recommend the company for its service, which has been excellent. And after I made my purchases, I wasn't continually getting spammed by the company, pestering me to buy more.
Best Vest for Murph
Posted by Ash on 11th Jun 2018
I ordered the 40 lb vest for Murph. I've done Murph 4 times now and this is easily the most comfortable weighted vest I've ever worked out in. It's also the easiest vest to get on and off. Adjusting the weight by 2.5 lbs takes no time and it's nice to add and take off weight depending on the workouts I'm doing. I love that it's and ID company too, bonus points for that!!
The quality of the vest and removable weights is superb!

I purchased the 40 lb. basketball vest with the kryptek typhoon camo print. The cool factor is off the charts with the fabric print options available for these vests. I have a lot of other gear in kryptek typhoon and have been looking at this vest for months before I finally purchased it. I should have got one a long time ago! It beats all of the other vests I've owned or used in the past. The build quality, comfort, and ease of adjust-ability makes this the best vest I've ever used. The basketball version has a 2.5" shoulder length and is small enough not to interfere with my shoulder when doing exercises like pushups or pull-ups. I also use the vest for things like shadow boxing and using gymnastic rings. The Velcro straps makes it easy to keep the vest tight to your body so it doesn't move or slip around. I can do exercises on a pull-up bar such as skin the cat and also practice handstands without the vest slipping or moving at all. It's truly versatile for all kinds of different exercises and definitely puts everything you do while training to the next level! I've already made some significant gains from using this vest! These vests feel and look so good that you will use it more often than anything else. I always look forward to my weight days now because I get to use this vest. It's that awesome! I would definitely recommend buying one of these vests. Just make sure you measure your shoulders and pick the vest that will fit and work best for you. The basketball version is 2.5" and works best for my body size for training martial arts and calisthenics. It doesn't interfere with my shoulders rotating. The regular short vest with the narrow shoulder length would probably feel more comfortable wearing but I think it would cover too much of my shoulders. But I do plan on going with that option when I buy the 60 lb vest with the mandrake print once I get to that level and need 20 more lbs to train with. I will probably need a wider shoulder length on the 60 lb vest to displace the weight around the shoulders better for comfort. The 40 lb basketball vest is all I need for now. I can also choose to add plated weights to a weight belt if I want because the short vest doesn't cover my waist. No waist interference from the vest so you can easily do a variety of abdominal and leg exercises while wearing the vest. The price made me wait to buy one but after owning the vest for a few weeks I feel like the purchase was worth every penny!
Taking training to the next level

First time wearing the vest to the gym, 3 people asked where I got it!! The fit and finish is first rate. I play competitive tennis and this vest is taking my game to the next. Doesn’t move at full sprints or during full swings both on backhand and forehand. Definitely buy again!!
Got 3 vests!!!

Used to train for Ranger school and my buddy ask to borrow it for his selection course. Great for endurance run, ruck, stamina and strength. Used the 30lb basketball vest for speed, 40lb for strength and 50-75 for long distance ruck.

This is an absolute beast, have been using it for 3 weeks.
The workouts are simply great, the vest is sturdy, the materials are 100% solid.
I'm doing HIIT and Heavy army cardio, in which involve a lot of movement and air to ground contact. It doesn't move, its here to stay directly on your body, even with the hardest movements.
Besides that, the weight distribution works completely good.
A little tip - set a goal before you proceed with the order, and after that pick a weight which is bigger than what you can handle or needed so you will have a room for improvements.

This is a great vest for training to get in better shape. Shoulder straps are thinner to improve overhead mobility, which is perfect for wearing during workouts and drill--even for sprints as well. It does not flop around when you exercise. The durability of the vest is incredible. When I first picked up the vest, I knew that the it is going to last a long time! So well constructed. Plus, I ordered mine in typhoon color and it looks like a badass in person. I would highly recommend this vest to any level of athletes, since the weights are removable, which is a huge plus!

Excellent vest. Purchased a 60lb vest from Dick's and returned it. Glad I did, the quality of this vest is superior. Super fast delivery and product looks to be built to last.

Well made and worth the price tag.
If not for the weight, you wouldn't know it's on
Posted by GDL on 23rd May 2017
It's worth the extra money. The vest is easy to take on and off, and snug, even when jumping rope, or doing burpees or handstand push-ups. This vest doesn't flop around or interfere with my workout in any way. I've used other vests that are good, but not this good. I'm 58 and will devote one hour a day to exercise. When it's time to bump to a new level, I put in more weight, not more time. Even just 10 pounds is a challenge. But after a couple of weeks, if I take the weight out I can really notice the difference. I highly recommend weight vests and this one in particular. Consider ordering the hanger with the vest. I didn't had had make a separate order.
Military Grade Vest

I am currently in the Military as a defender and I wear gear everyday and it must hold up, this vest also does that and is made with the same reinforced material!! I love it! It's secure and fits very well! Best purchase I've made!

I purchased the vest to start training for a Crossfit workout called 'Murphy' as well as to give myself a challenge whilst running with my wife in the evenings. The vest fits extremely well and can be as snug as you want it to be. Minimal movement while running and arm mobility is perfect for doing pull-ups and push-ups. The front of the vest is high enough you can even do sit ups in it, but not to high to put weight on your diaphragm. The vest can be put on and off really fast and easy and cinching down or adjusting snugness is a breeze. The included weights are great and easily removed to decrease or increase weight. I would highly recommend this vest.

Only had this product for a week but so far so good.I use this to walk 5km every other day have lost 10lbs this week already.Pros easy to put on and take off and easy to take off weights. Cons very hot and rubs on your shoulder if not wearing a proper shirt. If you a beginner please choose a lower or if you have a higher weight take some out as its a shock as to how heavy this is. Overall this product is very well put together 5 stars.

Besides the garbage exchange rate ( im Canadian) and the $100 plus dollars in shipping I decided to purchase the vest. I was not dissapointed in the least. The vest notably was extremely well crafted and the quality of materials is top notch. I've climbed stairs, done push ups, pull ups and even some handstand push ups. The vest stays put the whole time. I would highly recommend this vest to anyone looking for a high quality vest. Now in saying that I tried to contact customer service a couple times via email to which i recieved no reponse but this review is about the vest and I love it.
Stop adjusting weights
Posted by Kyle k. on 10th Jan 2017
I bought the v-force vest. It allows me to perform multiple exercises with more weight and not needing to adjusting plates. I weigh 161#, the vest is a bit loose but not to badly. If you are a bit larger on top the vest should be very snug. My workout has become more challenging. Quality of the vest is good. The vest should last for years. No complaints of pressure points. Your upper trapezius muscles might get sore because of supporting the weight, this is probably unavoidable. I use mine for push-ups, pull-ups, dips and sit-ups on a decline bench. I would feel comfortable running with the vest. I had my doubts wheather I needed the vest, but I'm very happy with my purchase. It's appearance is awesome.
Best purchase I've made so far

I am so happy I purchased this vest. It really helps me train on and off the court. It allows me to move quicker and swifter.
Posted by Unknown on 27th Jul 2015
I recently purchased the V-Force 40 pound vest. I knew I wanted that amount of weight as I get more in shape, but since I have started with the vest I have only been using some of the weight. This results in lots of sliding weight in and out of the slots. The only reason I game the vest a 4 vs. a 5 is due to my concern that with the constant opening and closing I will wear out the velcro. If the velcro wears out the vest will loose some of it's ability to hold the weight tightly in place.
You can open and close the Velcro as much as you like. You could do it all day long for years an you'd still have super tough Velcro on your weight vest!

GREAT QUALITY PRODUCT

I purchased this product to use for Calisthetics workouts. The straps are thin enough to where there is no problem doing pull-ups and over head movements, but not too thin as to compromise its strength or comfort. It is a solid piece of equipment ans very well made. I highly recommend this to anyone looking at purchasing it.
American Craftsmanship at its finest

i love this company! what they stand for is self-evident in the build quality of this vest, the fabric is heavy duty and good looking, the construction is heavy duty and perfect. This is American craftsmanship at its finest and the best of the best weight vest out there and i couldn't be happier with the performance and am excited to see how much it increases my performance!
High quality that makes it worth it.

The V-Force vest are a bit more expensive, but they are worth it. They transition well from the gym and CrossFit Box to grinding workouts in the mountains. I now use my V-Force vest in every workout. The ability to adjust the weights makes them perfect for long endurance work or quick brutal workouts. You can make minor adjustments to the belt on the fly if needed. The quality of the work is top notch. The vest is sturdy and well put together. The padding makes the vest comfortable without becoming bulky or cumbersome. Worth the extra money to upgrade. Plus, the Kryptek designs are great.
