The Fullcrum Effect: A simple concept and very effective.
Locating the weight higher on the body increases the weight-bearing effects on core muscles. For example; performing a pushup is much harder when the weight is located nearer the shoulders as illustrated. Situps, too, are much more difficult if the weight is located high on the torso.
Long vests, which locate the weight near your hips, are OK for walking and running workouts, but are very ineffective for bodyweight workouts. V-Max short weight vests concentrate the load higher and are very good at providing the resistance you need for effective push-ups and core-strength routines.
