Q: What's the difference between Zircon, V-Max, V-One and V-Force?
A: Like Porsche has several models that cost different prices, so does Weightvest.com. Our weight vests are all excellent in quality and durability, they simply have features that distinguishes them price wise.

Q: Are all your weight vests made in the USA?
A: Yes, we believe in keeping our manufacturing in the States. This helps keep Americans employed and helps strengthen the US economy. It allows us to watch over the production of our vests to ensure that they are built the way we know will last.

Q: Can I take out the weights?
A: Yes, the weights are removable two and half pound bars with smooth, rounded edges to prevent wear to the pockets. Weights are cast iron.

Q: Is the short-style weight vest better than the longer style?
A: Yes, if you want to develop greater back and abdominal strength the shorter vest is better. This gives you greater leverage on key muscles that only a short-style weight vest can target. Running is also more comfortable with a short vest. Weights are located on the ribs rather than the stomach.

Q: How long does it take to ship my weight vest?
A: 99% of all online orders are shipped within 24 hours, the rest are shipped within 48 hours. No shipments on weekends or holidays.

Q: How long until I receive my order?
A: If you live in New York plan on about 5 days, California about 3 business days to recieve your order.

Q: What kind of weights are they?
A: Cast Iron.

Q: Can I wash my weight vest?
A: Yes. Hand wash with mild detergent and rinse with wet/damp cloth or sponge. Then towel dry. Use Febreze antimicrobial spray (available at your grocery store $5.50 per 28 oz. bottle lasts for months), after each use to keep it smelling fresh. Or, use our Sweat-Stopper™ liner, click on Accessories.

Q: Do you ship outside the US?
A:Yes, email us for costs.

Q: I notice you have a long vest now, is there a reason for this as you say the shorter vests are better for some kinds of workouts.
A: We supply firefighters who require a weight vest style that simulates full gear. Some firehouses use the 75 lb. short model, but we also have some firehouses that use the long model. Keep in mind, the long 75 vest is only 3" longer than the short vests, so it is really technically short.
Q: What is the 30-day money-back guarantee?
A: If you return your weight vest in NEW condition within 30 days after purchase, you will receive a full refund less shipping costs. Call toll free 1-888-909-5473 to get the exact shipping costs.

Q: If I lose anything for my weight vest can I get spare parts like weights and strapping?
A: Yes, all parts are replaceable. Just contact us.

Q: What do you recommend I start out with as far as how much weight?
A: Start light. We cannot over-emphasize this point. You will adapt gradually. Never start with a full load. You must realize your body is not prepared to start heavy. Consult your physician before starting any new exercise program.

Q: I noticed you offer a hydration pack. What is this for?
A: This is a good question. Our designers have developed a pack that is attached to the weight vest so you have no additional pack or waist pack to carry water. Now you can have a drink easily no matter what exercise program you use. Runners, walkers, and trekkers love it. It keeps you going when thirst and dry throat try to slow you down.

Q: Are weight vests better than weighted belts?
A: We know they are. We've designed weighted belts for testing purposes and to see if they would be of value to our customers. After testing we have concluded that weighted vests are much more beneficial as a training device for hyper-gravity workouts for the following reasons: 1)Weight belts do not benefit the upper torso muscles in any way. 2)Blood flow & nerves route through the hips so wearing a weighted belt can restrict blood flow causing muscle fatigue & nerve pinching which can cause numbness. 3)Repeated verticle movement induced through running and jumping can chaffe the delicate tissue surrounding the hip. Conclusion; weight vests are much more beneficial and are carried on the shoulders where our bodies were designed to carry weight.

Q: Are solid weight better than soft weights?
A: Solid weights have several advantages; they will last indefinitely, they are heavier with less bulk, they don't become unstable when left in the sun, they have no odor when heated by the sun and they are easier to add and remove from pockets.

Q: Are solid weight more comfortable than soft weights?
A: Because they are more dense they are less bulky which gives the wearer more freedom of movement and allows the weight vest to be smaller, more compact with greater weight. Unlike soft-weight vests which cover a large area of the body like a mummy. While wearing soft or solid you can not tell the difference.

Q: What about doing floor routines?
A: There are almost no floor routines with which you would use a weight vest. Push ups, or sit ups, but that is about it. Our weight vests are padded where the weights are, so there is no problem.
